MCSA - Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator ( Windows 2003 Server )

Intro
Achieve the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification and advance your career by ensuring that you have the skills to successfully manage and troubleshoot system environments running on the Microsoft Windows operating system.

The MCSA is designed specifically for those who wish to gain a benchmark qualification in computing to enable them to develop their IT skills and enhance their career prospects. No prior knowledge of IT or computer skills is needed to study the MCSA as a full programme of learning is provided.
Pre-Requisites
No pre-requisites required, full IT diagnostic assessment offered before any testing. Don't panic if you haven't studied for a while, on enrolment you will be given tutor support throughout the duration of your course.
Qualification Levels / Awarding Body

The MCSA certification is awarded by the Microsoft Corporation tests by Prometric to which we are an accredited testing centre. The MCSA itself is split into 4 main components/sub-qualifications, passing just one achieves the MCP Microsoft Certified Professional qualification. All four exam passes are required for the full MCSA, 2 core exams, one operating system (XP / Vista) and one elective (see below for example units):

(Core: 70-290) Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment

(Core: 70-291) Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure

 -

(Operating System) One client operating system exam based on Windows 2K/XP/Vista.

 -

(Elective) One elective exam.

 

Each sub unit takes approximately 30 hours to complete, The units are provided through our eLearning system allowing you the flexibility to study the units at home or in our centre or mixed with tutor support its up to you.

 

Course Delivery Method Testing Method
Mixed - The delivery method is mixed comprising of tutor based support and guidance, eLearning material through learndirect. There are pre-tests to give you confidence and address any short comings before attempting the official Prometric test at the end of each module all are computer based and taken at one of our centres.

  • What to expect at Enrolment
  • - All of our staff are Matrix accredited to give you the best initial advice and guidance possible before enrolment. This process can take between 40mins to an hour.
  • - Once you are enroled you will receive access to the eLearning system and you will be able to access your course, exam results tutor notes from any internet ready PC meeting our system requirements.
