| People without GCSE maths earn on average £8,000 p.a less than those with the qualification. In a 40 - 50 year working life that is a loss of £3-400,000. We can test and assess your current skills set against the national standards, address any short comings you currently have and get you through the exams quickly, free of charge and at a time and pace to suit you! These tests have proven very popular and we have helped over 350 people pass their tests in this academic year alone. Most recently we have had students take the exams to meet requirements for university / college admissions and job entry requirements. | |
| Pre-Requisites | |
| No pre-requisites required, full diagnostic assessment offered before any testing. Don't panic if you haven't studied maths or english for a while, on enrolment you will be given a pre-test called an initial assessment to make sure we place you on the correct exam for your level and we have specialist tutors and free small courses to help build your knowledge and confidence before any testing. The qualification levels are as follows. | |

| Mixed - The delivery method is mixed comprising of tutor based support and guidance, eLearning material through learndirect. | There are optional online pre-tests to give you confidence and address any short comings before attempting the 50 minute test which is computer based and taken at one of our centres. |

| The tests and build up courses are free £0.00 as they are fully funded by the learning and skills council for 19+ residents of Cumbria, if you live outside of the county you can still take an exam for free by finding a centre in your area on the learndirect main site (centre search) at www.learndirect.co.uk. | |
